The Xiaomi Mi 10 and Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro would be sold at a starting price above 800 euros, reveals a leak. The integration of 5G and ultra high-end components, such as the 108-megapixel photo sensor, would have pushed the Chinese manufacturer to revise its prices upward. Here is the latest information available.

Xiaomi would market the Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro at a starting price above 800 euros, report our colleagues from 01Net this February 1, 2020. “The brand will announce at MWC Barcelona the Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro, high-end smartphones marketed … Over 800 euros ”01Net advance. As a reminder, the predecessor of the Xiaomi Mi 10, the Xiaomi Mi 9, was sold at the starting price of 499 euros.

To explain this sudden price increase at Xiaomi, 01Net highlights “its many marketing expenses, its move upmarket and the arrival of 5G”. Both smartphones are indeed compatible with the 5G network and benefit from a very premium technical data sheet. The two Xiaomi Mi 10 are indeed powered by the SoC Snapdragon 865 from Qualcomm and by an impressive battery of more than 5000 mAh compatible with the 65 watt fast recharge. To support the SoC, Xiaomi has even decided to integrate up to 16 GB of RAM into the Mi 10 Pro.

The 108 megapixel photo sensor is confirmed

That’s not all. The Xiaomi Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro also have a main 108-megapixel photo sensor, reveal our colleagues from XDA Developpers. By studying the code name of the latest flagships of Xiaomi, the media claims that smartphones take advantage of a photo module designed by Samsung: the ISOCELL Bright HMX. This is the same photo sensor as that of the Galaxy S20 Ultra, the high-end variant of the S20.

With this new range of smartphones, Xiaomi therefore begins a meteoric rise in range. In these conditions, it is not surprising that the Chinese brand increases its selling prices this year. We will tell you more as soon as possible on the subject. In the meantime, do not hesitate to give your opinion on the next Xiaomi in the comments below.
