The design of the Pixel 4a, replacing the Pixel 3a from Google, has just been revealed by a leak. This one is signed OnLeaks, a leaker accustomed to this type of exercise. He claims that the Pixel 4a will largely take over the aesthetics of the Pixel 4, in particular its square photo block. However, its screen would include a hole for the webcam.
The Pixel 3a and the Pixel 3a XL have achieved their goal: to make Google’s range of smartphones more accessible. Indeed, until the Pixel 3 and 3 XL, the Mountain View firm was only positioned in the high-end segment. From the Pixel 3a and 3a XL, customers in the premium mid-range segment benefit from the Pixel experience. And, since this objective has been achieved, it would be a shame not to persevere.
Square photo frame and hole for webcam
These visuals, which were produced from technical diagrams, show that the Pixel 4a should be based largely on the design of the Pixel 4. We find in particular a large flat screen whose size should be between 5.7 and 5.8 inches , fairly pronounced borders, a premium chassis and a prominent photo block. The latter is square in shape. In the absence of details on the number of elements in this block, Steve Hemmerstoffer has included a photo sensor and a flash. However, the smartphone should include at least two sensors .
You can also find a fingerprint reader on the back on the back, like on the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3a. The smartphone will therefore not rely on an advanced facial recognition system, as on the Pixel 4 (which removes the fingerprint reader like the iPhone X and its successors). And this is confirmed at the front of the Pixel 4a where there would be a simple webcam placed in a hole positioned in the upper left corner. Last notable elements, the Pixel 4a would be equipped with a USB type-C port, a 3.5 mm jack port and a few hardware buttons placed on the right edge. It remains to be seen what is hidden inside and when the mobile will be formalized.
